We’re delighted to welcome Harry Akram, an accomplished audiologist with over 15 years of NHS experience, to the Pindrop Hearing team.
Harry brings a wealth of expertise across audiological assessment, rehabilitation and patient care. Having served as Clinical Lead for a nationally recognised BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) service, he is particularly skilled in diagnosing and managing balance disorders, as well as providing tailored support for patients experiencing tinnitus and hearing loss. His background covers both routine and complex diagnostics, counselling and rehabilitation, alongside extensive experience in hearing aid fitting and vestibular therapy.
Throughout his career, Harry has worked in a variety of respected NHS Trusts, including Gateshead Health, Royal Free London and University College London Hospitals (UCLH), where he progressed to Audiology Diagnostics Team Lead. His ability to manage busy clinical services including coordinating patient triage, appointments and referrals with care and precision has earned him a reputation for both efficiency and empathy.
Beyond the clinic, Harry is passionate about education and sharing his expertise with the next generation of audiologists. He has mentored BSc and MSc Audiology students and continues to lecture at the Ear Institute at University College London, helping to shape future leaders in hearing healthcare.
With his deep clinical knowledge and patient-focused approach, Harry’s addition further strengthens our mission to deliver the highest standards of hearing and balance care. We’re thrilled to have him on the Pindrop Hearing Team.
