Harry brings a wealth of expertise across audiological assessment, rehabilitation and patient care.
Our 90 minute hearing test & patient consultation is much more thorough and comprehensive than the free hearing tests offered by the high street chain providers.
Available in Harley Street, Winchmore Hill, Finchley & Chelsea
Your hearing affects conversations, confidence, work, relationships, and everyday life — so your hearing test should never feel rushed or transactional.
At Pindrop Hearing, our assessments are designed to give you clear answers, honest advice, and a complete understanding of your hearing health, all delivered by experienced independent audiologists.
Unlike many high street providers, we are completely independent. That means if hearing aids are recommended, we can advise on the most suitable technology from all leading hearing aid manufacturers — based entirely on your needs, lifestyle, and budget.
Our team is led by Rony Ganguly, Doctor of Audiology, alongside experienced clinical audiologists who take the time to understand not just your hearing results, but how hearing difficulties affect your daily life.
Your appointment includes far more than a basic hearing screen. We carry out detailed diagnostic assessments designed to identify the type, severity, and likely cause of hearing loss, helping us recommend the most appropriate next steps.
Since 2006, we’ve helped more than 27,000 patients across our Harley Street, Chelsea, Winchmore Hill, and Bushey clinics, with over 900 five-star reviews reflecting our patient-first approach.
With over 50 years of combined experience across the NHS, ENT, and private practice, our team focuses on accurate diagnosis and clear explanations.
Your appointment begins with a listening needs assessment to discuss your individual hearing requirements. Your audiologist will then perform a visual ear examination using video otoscopy to check for obstructions; any earwax present will be removed at this stage to ensure the most accurate testing environment.
Tympanometry is performed to evaluate middle ear function by measuring pressure and eardrum movement.
This test helps identify potential issues like fluid buildup or perforations, which can affect hearing.
Pure tone audiometry, conducted in a soundproof room, measures your hearing sensitivity across various frequencies using air and bone conduction.
This test determines the type and degree of any hearing loss.
A speech-in-noise test assesses your ability to understand speech in noisy environments.
This test measures your speech discrimination by having you repeat sentences presented against background noise, simulating real-world listening challenges.
The audiologist will explain your test results, detailing any hearing loss and its potential causes.
A discussion of your listening needs and lifestyle will follow, leading to personalised recommendations, which may include hearing aids.
If needed, hearing aid options will be discussed, and a fitting appointment will be scheduled.

A test of middle ear function to check the middle ear pressure to help in the diagnosis of middle ear conditions such as glue ear or eustachian tube dysfunction.
This is a test to determine how well you can hear speech at soft levels with and without background noise. You will be asked to repeat sentences presented to you through headphones or through loudspeakers. The volume level will be varied to determine the quietest level you can correctly identify speech (Speech reception threshold) and this will be compared to normal hearing.
