Invisible Hearing Aids
The miracle hearing aid solution.
In 2010 a new category of hearing aid
was introduced: the deep canal or
invisible in the canal (IIC) hearing
aids. These instruments sit very deep in
the ear canal and so are 100% invisible
from the outside. Because of the
positioning of the instrument closer to
the ear drum than standard in the ear
hearing aids there is also an added
benefit in sound quality and hearing in
background noise. As the microphone of
the aid is sitting deep in the ear canal
the hearing aid takes advantage of the
natural acoustic properties of the Pinna
(the outer ear), producing a more
natural sound.
