Request Free GuideA 60 - 90 Minute appointment with a Clinical Audiologist, who is a University Graduate, qualified with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Audiology and has completed their full audiological training in all aspects of clinical audiology in a clinical setting. At Pindrop Hearing we do not employ Hearing Aid Dispensers (also known as Hearing Aid Audiologists), or Healthcare assistants.
More thorough and comprehensive than the free hearing tests offered by high street chains, our in-depth initial hearing consultation includes a fully comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, after which we will be able to identify the exact type, severity and cause of your hearing loss as well as a range of recommended treatment options.
Following your assessment, we’ll guide you through a tailored plan based on your individual needs. This may include simple steps like earwax removal, communication advice, hearing protection strategies, or—for some people—discussing whether hearing aids could be beneficial. If hearing aids are recommended, you’ll have the opportunity to try them with no pressure and no obligation.
If your treatment includes hearing devices, we’ll provide fittings based on gold-standard real ear measurements to ensure optimal comfort and performance. For any ongoing care—whether it’s fine-tuning, learning how to adapt to changes, or exploring assistive tech—our expert team is here for you. We also offer access to our Sound Lounge for advanced testing in real-world acoustic environments.
Good hearing health isn’t a one-off fix—it’s an ongoing journey. We offer flexible aftercare packages that include 6-month check-ups, annual reassessments, and unlimited support appointments for adjustments, advice, or questions. Whether you wear hearing aids or not, we’ll help you stay on top of your hearing and confident in your day-to-day life.

Choosing the right hearing aid can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help. We answer the most common questions about hearing aids, their features, and how to find the perfect fit for you.
A hearing aid is a small electronic device that you wear in or behind your ear. It amplifies sound so that someone with hearing loss can listen, communicate, and participate more fully in daily activities.
Hearing aids have three basic parts: a microphone, amplifier, and speaker. The microphone picks up sound, converts it to electrical signals, the amplifier increases the strength of the signals, and the speaker delivers them into the ear.
Hearing aids are recommended for anyone with hearing loss that impacts their ability to communicate, engage in daily life, or enjoy activities they once did. However, the decision to use hearing aids isn’t one-size-fits-all, it depends on the type, degree and lifestyle impact of hearing loss.
The best one depends on your hearing loss severity, lifestyle needs, cosmetic preferences, and budget. Our expert audiologists will offer independent advice on the right solution for you.
Many modern hearing aids support Bluetooth, allowing wireless streaming from phones, TVs, and other devices.
