Where have you worked in Audiology?

Hospitals (Kingston & Queen Mary’s hospital) and for Phonak the hearing aid manufacturer.

What were your main duties?

Paediatrics/ Tinnitus/ vestibular and hearing aids.

Main duties at Phonak were working with independent practices to grow their business, train Audiologists on how to use new products.

At the hospitals, my focus was Diagnostic testing and hearing aids.

Why did you get into audiology?

One of my friends who I dance with is profoundly deaf and I always found the profession very interesting, and she said she thought I would be good at the job role. I have also done level 1 and 2 sign language BSL.

What do you like about audiology / being an Audiologist?

I love the fact that I can help someone to experience hearing every day. Giving them back one of their senses and helping people to reconnect to their friends and family.

What are your areas of interest in Audiology?

Diagnostic hearing and the 100% invisible hearing aid, Lyric.

What do you like about working at Pindrop Hearing?

I love working at Pindrop hearing as we have access to the best technology to provide for our patients and we always get up to date training on all manufacturers and all technologies. We have a wealth of knowledge between all of us as Audiologists and we can always ask and lean on each other if we have queries and questions for the best patient outcomes.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Performing and teaching dance. Performed alongside many artists in big arenas such as Wembley SSE area, the o2 and Hammersmith Apollo.
