Widex A/S is the world’s sixth largest hearing aid manufacturer. In close collaboration with international audiological researchers and specialists, the company has developed a wide range of digital hearing aids, including the world's first 100% digital in-the-ear hearing aid in 1995. The Danish company was founded in 1956 by the Tøpholm and Westermann families, who still own and run the company. Widex’ hearing aids are sold in almost 100 countries and the company employs approximately 2,000 people around the world.

Widex are known for their exceptional build quality, research and innovation. Their most current range of digital hearing aids are called CLEAR and the solution for severe hearing loss is called FUSION. The CLEAR range is available at 3 levels of technology: CLEAR 440, CLEAR 330 and CLEAR 220

CLEAR 440 / FUSION 440
Clear 440 is the premium product from Widex. It uses their most advanced processing platform to date, which is called C-ISP. CLEAR 440 uses wireless technology so that hearing aids can communicate with eachother when worn as a pair. Widex have termed this technology InterEar (IE) and it has been shown to dramatically improve the users ability to hear speech in background noise.

Features:   15 Channels

InterEar TruSound Compression: Automatically and continuously adjusts the level of gain within 15 channels, so that the correct amount of gain is applied to different levels of inputs whether soft, medium or loud sounds. InterEar means that this information is seamlessly co-ordinated and synchronised between hearing aids. This ensures maximum speech intelligibility, natural sound and comfort.

InterEar Speech Enhancer SII: Continuous analysis of the environment in 15 channels separates speech and noise. Through InterEar technology information is exchanged between hearing aids so that speech is enhanced while background noise is attenuated. This maximises speech intelligibility in background noise and improves the ability to pick out a single speaker from a noisy background.

TruSound Softener: Quickly detects and reduces abrupt, loud transient noises such as slamming doors or chinking of porcelain.

InterEar Feedback Cancellation: Minimises whistling (feedback)

Digital Pinna, Free Focus and HD Locator: Help locate sound from any direction.

Clear 330 / Fusion 330
Clear 330 represents the advanced (mid range) hearing aids from Widex. Like the Clear 440 it is based on the powerful C-ISP platform. Although it has a few less features it is still a very advanced hearing aid with excellent results achievable.
